Red Sox visit Houston!!!

I must say, I've got an amazing, and the best boyfriend in the whole entire world. :)

We had discussed going to see the Red Sox when they came to Houston over the 4th of July holiday, but in the end it just seemed silly. No offense to any Astro's fans, but that team is just not very good. I think their record as of that weekend was 29-56 or something like that...so when the opportunity arose that I could buy tickets for $60 a piece, I chose to pass thinking, 'this won't be a very good game, they just aren't at the same level.'

But then came game 1 of 3 on Friday night, and it was very close, like within 3 runs, maybe. The next morning, on the way to the farmers market Ray said, "I found tickets to the Sox game for two dollars...wanna go?!" Two dollars? Really? How can this be? So we looked at Stubhub.com and sure enough, $2 a ticket! Now, let me begin by informing y'all that these were no where near the field, not even remotely...but I've been to Minute Maid Park before, and remembered that all seats were pretty good. So why the heck not? Let's go. Even for a few dollars we can go and experience it, and it's something to do on a Sunday after church.

And away we went!!! We were most certainly sitting high, high above the field, could barely see the players, they were like little men far away, but it was soooo great to just be a part of it. I am so thankful for Ray for knowing how happy it would make me!!!

Here I am, looking sooo happy!!

Recently, we've made a friend, Jennifer. She too went to church with us in the morning, and then to the game. Here we are, happy little Red Sox Friends.

And then here's Ray and I, a first game for both of us!!!

Hannah was with us too, but she had some friends at the game (with much better seats) and we unfortunately did not get any photos with her. :(

Here's the field, what seems to be soooo far away!!
Minute Maid Park just got this jumbo-tron not long ago- Certainly helped out when we couldn't see or hear who was up to bat!

Here's my boyfriend, Jacoby Ellsbury. <3

We were at game 3 of 3, and we only won by 1 point!! It was a good game. There were tons and tons of Sox fans, which made me very happy!!! I will look forward to my next Sox game, and maybe someday I'll be able to see them at Fenway!

Thanks Ray, for making one of my dreams come true. <3
